Scholarships are provided for students that are continuing their education at a community college, technical school, or a university. Scholarships are provided by both the Navajo Nation and the Hardrock Chapter.

There are also many other opportunities to gain funding from other sources besides the Hardrock Chapter House and the Navajo Nation. Below are links to scholarships that are available. Please make sure to keep track of deadlines for each scholarship or fellowship available. 

 

APS Four Corners Power Plant Navajo Scholarship
The Four Corners Power Plant helps prepare selected Navajo students for careers related to the electric utility industry. 
Eligibility: Navajo students residing in the vicinity of the plant and pursuing undergraduate degrees in a utility related field of study. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $1,500 per school year and are renewable each semester contingent on the recipient’s good standing. AZ Earn to Learn
AZ Earn to Learn offers students the opportunity to save and earn a renewable $4,500 scholarship to attend Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona. Students, who complete the program requirements, including saving $500 toward their education, receive a match of $4,000 in scholarship money per academic year.
Eligibility:  Enrolled high school Seniors and Juniors planning to attend one of the three state universities and enrolled community college students who are planning to transfer to either NAU or UA. BHP-Billiton Community Scholarship Program
Scholarships in the amount of $500 - $1,500 are awarded for one year and are renewable contingent upon eligibility. Requirements: Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB), completed application, official transcript(s) and a current acceptance letter or enrollment verification.

Brown and Caldwell Navajo Scholarship for Engineering/Environmental Science
Brown and Caldwell's Navajo Scholarship is designed to to encourage enrolled members of the Navajo Nation to pursue education and careers in the environmental field. The scholarship, sponsored by Brown and Caldwell's Salt Lake City office, provides support to Navajo students, who have a desire to improve our world by developing their skills and knowledge in preparation of implementing sound environmental practices in their life career. 
 
Initial Eligibility: Enrolled members of the Navajo Nation, full-time enrollment at an accredited two-year junior or four-year undergraduate college or a senior in high school with a letter of acceptance from the college or university to be attended; declaration of or intend to declare a major in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering, or one of the environmental sciences (e.g., geology, hydrogeology, biology, ecology, industrial hygiene toxicology), a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent on a 5.0 scale). First Things First Quality First Scholarship Program
Eligibility: Families who are permanent residents of the Navajo Nation but are temporarily living in other parts of the state while they attend college. Applicant must enroll in a minimum of one course at an accredited college or university each session courses are offered, must  be a permanent resident of the Navajo Nation (living off tribal lands to attend school), have a household income at or below 200% of the current year's federal poverty level, have a child or children (the maximum number of scholarships available to any family is two) between the ages of birth and age 5 no yet in kindergarten. Scholarships are awarded directly to the families and transfer with the child.
